Description

This is the major railway station in the city. It was built after WWII in place of the old one that was destroyed during the war. The train in the picture is going north to Moscow or St. Petersburg. The opposite direction is south to Crimea. The word "Yuzhny" means Southern.

Wonderful picture... it gives you an idea what it would have looked like if they'd have built stations under Catherine the Great. ;)
Very strange, this revival style in a communist background. But after the War, maybe not.
